St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a full-time Hospitalist position at Rome Memorial Hospital, part of the St. Joseph’s Health system, located in Rome, New York. Position Overview:
- Provides professional medical services to a daily census of 12-15 patients per Provider while they are hospitalized
- Arranges for necessary follow-up care upon discharge from the Hospital
- Makes daily rounds on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Program, admit patients and run rapids responses/ cart calls
- Conducts a history, physical examination, and note dictated in our Paragon EMR system
- Work in conjunction with Attending Physician and Intensivist to effectively manage a medical crisis or change in assigned patient’s medical condition consulting with applicable parties in a timely fashion.
- 7am-7pm schedule
- Works in an open ICU setting with a 24/7 Intensivist consultant
- Works with an established medical center with comprehensive subspecialty support
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid medical license in the state of New York.
- Prior experience as a Hospitalist preferred but not required.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
St. Joseph’s Health offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
- Guaranteed base salary: $250,000-$275,000
- Starting Bonus: $15,000
